Shackles

Bow shackles and D-shackles (or Dee-shackles) are used in combination with lifting chains. The bow and the D refer to the shape of the shackle. Moreover, you can choose the closure of the shackle, too. 

There are screw pin shackles and nut & bolt shackles that include a safety pin. Shackles with screw pins are ideal for temporary applications, such as moving a load. Tighten the screw securely just before lifting.

Nut and bolt shackles are used for long-term and permanent applications. The use of the safety pin is essential as it helps prevent the pin from sliding out of the shackle (e.g., in case of a moving load and in case of vibration). Watch the video in the product information for more explanation.
